Getting started

Planterium works best in a simple order: draw the garden, plant the beds, then let the app tell you what needs doing each week. Here is that whole loop, start to finish.

1. Draw your garden

Head to Garden and create your first garden. You draw it to real measurements: pick the Build tool and lay out beds where they actually sit in your yard, then add paths, fences, or anything else around them. Nothing needs to be perfect; you can drag, resize, and erase freely, and undo is always there.

Do this part on a computer. On a phone your garden is view-only for now, so drawing and planting need a bigger screen.

2. Plant your beds

Switch to the Plant tool and your seed tray opens. Browse the Plants page to find varieties you want to grow and add them to the tray, then click a spot in a bed to plant one. Planterium spaces them honestly, so a bed holds what it would really hold.

3. Let the week come to you

Every planting brings its care schedule with it. Today and Tasks fill up on their own with what each plant needs and when: sowing, checking germination, harvesting before the frost. Tick things off as you do them. Fall behind and nothing is lost; late jobs simply wait at the top of the list until you get to them. You can add your own tasks too, one-off or repeating, for anything the app cannot know about, like turning the compost.

4. Tell it where you garden

Save your location in Settings and the whole app sharpens up: the Today page shows your local weather, and your real frost dates shape the growing season, the sowing windows, and the harvest-before dates. It is one minute of setup that makes everything else more useful.

While you are there, look at Notifications. A short digest email arrives on Saturday mornings with the week ahead, and if a frosty night threatens your plants, Planterium sends a heads up in time to cover them. All of it can be switched off, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
