Privacy Policy

Planterium collects only what we need to run a garden planner well. This policy explains what that covers and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and authentication credentials, so you can sign in and we can reach you about your account.
- Your garden data. Gardens, beds, plantings, tasks, notes, seed tray contents, and settings. In short, the content you create by using the app.
- Location you give us. If you set a home location, we use it to derive frost dates, hardiness, sun position, and (if configured) the aerial backdrop for your plan. We never collect location in the background.
- Basic operational logs. Standard server logs (requests, errors, timestamps) used to keep the Service healthy and secure, plus first-party, cookieless usage statistics such as page counts and feature counts. We use these to understand how the app is used, not for cross-site tracking or sale. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we honor it and skip these usage statistics entirely.
What we use it for
- Running the product: storing your plans and showing them back to you.
- Planning features: frost windows, sowing dates, sun simulation, and imagery are computed from the location you provide.
- Service email: account and security messages, and product updates only if you opt in.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data, and we never will.
- We do not use your content for advertising or share it with data brokers.
- We do not track you across other sites.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored with our cloud database and hosting providers, protected by row-level security so your gardens are readable only by your account. Satellite imagery for the aerial backdrop is fetched from our map provider using the location you configure.
- Maps. Map and aerial features are powered by Mapbox. When the map loads in your browser, the Mapbox SDK may collect usage telemetry (such as map requests and basic device information) under its own privacy policy.
Your choices
- Access and export. Ask us for a copy of your data at any time.
- Correction. You can edit almost everything in the app; for the rest, contact us.
- Deletion. Delete your account and we remove your content from production systems within a reasonable period, subject to backups that age out.
Cookies
The only cookies we use are the ones that keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
Children
Planterium is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a material way, we will give notice in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
